Reports and investigates disturbances, complaints and reports of trespassing by communicating with management, interviewing guests, associates and witnesses and detects infringements. Patrols recreation center areas and property to detect and report fires, unsafe conditions, missing or inoperative safety equipment, trespassing persons and criminal or suspicious activities to ensure guests have a safe and pleasant stay. Checks each guest at recreation centers for appropriate documentation and ensures that they are authorized to be on property. Answers telephones and utilizes two-way radios. Retains and relays information received under stressful conditions, responds to calls quickly and calmly and makes sound decisions under pressure. Must have the ability to calm guests and visitors in emergent, emotional or stressful situations. Assists guests, associates and other departments as requested within reason. Warns violators of rule infractions and/or ejects persons disturbing the peaceful and pleasant experience of resort guests. Reads maps and provides directions to guests. Ability and desire to see individual situations or assignments through to a successful resolution without departing from SOPs or operating outside of the officer’s scope of authority. Performs all other duties as assigned. Works a traditional rotating shift schedule. Ability to work different shifts (weekends, holidays and relief shifts). Must be available to work until September.
